TM: You feel like you are wanting to open your mind a little. NB: Exactly. You transform the first thing until it becomes the second. TM: Very Germanic.

Villa Gemini, Guia, Óbidos...I've spent a few wonderful holidays there. The friendly people, the food (chicken piri-piri,bacalhau a bras),the lovely Portuguese language..
Infelizmente, não falo bem português, só um pouco, mas gosto muito de sua lingua...é muita linda.O seu frango piri-piri deixiou-me uma ótimo impressão.

  • Sandy beaches, seafood soup, tasty grilled sardines, and of course Port......and not forgetting the freezing cold sea!

  • malta. i do not like portugal then there is madi what were they thinking

  • think of the football team (soccer) and especially Figo and C. Ronaldo

  • Rose wine....jose morinho

  • roast beef...don't know why, though....:)

  • Totall agree with MIG!

When I hear Portugal I think of the beautiful scenery, friendly people, gorgeous food, family (inlaws), my best friend (who lives there), and I have happy memories of the fun we've had over there. The Portuguese live life to the full, not like the miserable ar$eholes over here.

  • Unspoilt and accessible country, un-crowded and relaxing; with plenty of lovely countryside scenery and fantastic beaches; where the people are welcoming; the food is still tasty and yet affordable and the wine + beer are tops!

  • Portugal is as Wales compared to England, in terms of its relationship to Spain. Some similarities, some cultural differences. Ultimately smaller and less important, but distinctive nonetheless. Bit greasier if anything...!

  • The portuguese people, my family and the thousands of british that live in Portugal because is safer, sunnier and better then England.
The british that made bad comments about Portugal are ignorants about everything that isn't british. One kidnap, well in England there's 700 unsolved kidnaps every year, think about it. Portugal is still one of the 10 safer countries in the world.
