Would like to stay in a Hilton hotel in Aberdeen at the end of October, going to see Lee Evans at the AECC. There are 2 Hiltons in Aberdeen according to their website, the Treetops hotel and the Doubletree by Hilton Aberdeen City Centre. Would like to be close to the city centre too. Answers from anyone who has been to either hotel or knows the area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

double tree, but from the other one it would prob be 20 pounds in taxi or youd need to get two buses. there is a holiday inn express right nexy to exhibition centre if the others are booked up
Doubletree was called the Patio Hotel until very recently, when it changed hands. It is near the beach, very modern, used to be a bit characterless in my opinion. I haven't been there since it changed hands. Certainly it's the nearer of the two to both AECC and City Centre (about 15 minutes walk to the City Centre).
Treetops is on western outskirts of Aberdeen and is an older building, though modernised inside.
Doubletree is closer to the AECC.
Town centre is easy to get to from either of them, about 10 minutes on the bus.
