So I'm going tomorrow to get an autism awareness tattoo inspired by my son. I've managed to washable marker both the underside and top of my wrist and cannot decide which I like more for the design. I'm going to spend the day walking around my house with it on both sides to try to figure it out but I thought I'd see others personal experiences regarding those two places and if one was less painful than the other. I know it's going one of those spots regardless. I hoping this might help me decide which. :) I have one on my pubic bone and one on my shoulder blade. Neither of which I seems to recall hurting at all. Of course that was a good 5 years ago. Before I got old and tame and mommy like. I remember no pain just that weird intense feeling. (And please. No lectures on pain shouldn't have anything to do with it. This is curiosity and hopefully helping decide a tie breaker location for me!) Thanks in advance! The inside wrist
I would say the inside of your wrist might be more painful than the back. Only b/c when I look at my own wrist, I see veins and to me needles going over veins seems like much more discomfort. Plus the skin seems "thicker" on the outside of your writst rather than the inside. Let us know what u decide. I think it's cool ur getting another tatoo. Tattoosouch ? !!::

outside the wrist will definately hurt less. I have both of my wrist tattooed on the inside. I think that its a nice place to get them. When I'm at work no one can see them that way. The lower to the palm of your hand you go on the inside the more it hurts. I would vote for inside the wrist, even though it may be a bit more painful.
I have over half my body tattooed, so I know what I'm talking about. The inside of the wrist is more painful than the outside. The skin on the bottom is thinner, so therefore it hurts more. The inner wrist is not as viable, so you may not be asked a million tims a day about it, but it's good to keep it somewhat hidden if you work in a offive job. The most painful places to be tattooed are the rib cage, chest bone, and inner knee for me. The inside of the arm isn't that bad. Well, I know I'm not mu ch help, but there you go. outside. the inside of your wrist carries major tendons and veins. its also alot mor sensetive than the outside of your wrist.

I have a tattoo on the inside of my wrist, and honestly, it did not hurt that bad. I think it would look better on the inside. If you have one ont he pubic bond and shoulder blade, the pain difference is not that bad.

Outside wrist will hurt less, but I have never really seen a person with a tatt on their outside wrist. I also don't think it would look as cool as having one on the inside of the wrist.
If you did your pubic bone, you should go ahead and go for the inside of the wrist. It shouldn't really hurt any more or less than that.
Well i would say that the outside of the wrist wouldnt hurt as bad because the inside of the wrist the skin is thinner and closer to veins. BUT, I like how it looks better inside because its not as flashy/gaudy.... its more conservative but visible!
