"The art director William Chang Suk-Ping designed the film's unique
look, using overlapping textures and luminous colors to create an
intense concentration of sensation and experience and controlling
every visual detail, from settings and props to costumes, hair and
makeup. He was also the film's editor. (For their work on the film,
Mr. Chang and the cinematographers Christopher Doyle and Mark Li
Ping-bin were awarded the Grand Prix de la Technique, the technical

Thanks, I know that William Chang was the costume designer. But, I'd
like to know specificially who designed the futuristic android
dresses. It may be him, but none of those pages confirm it...
Hello again
I thought is was a reasonable inference from "magnificent silk
dresses, designed by William Chang" and "controlling every visual
detail, from settings and props to costumes" that William Chang
designed the futuristic android
dresses.

Hi,
I'm sorry but I don't agree.
"magnificent silk dresses, designed by William Chang" - There were
many silk dresses in the movie.
"controlling every visual detail, from settings and props to costumes"
- That could mean that he procured the dresses, rather than designed
them. In fact, I think most people would assume the former.
How do I reject this answer?
Also, the complete first quote is "The movie also starred some
magnificent silk dresses, designed by William Chang.". My objection
might make more sense if you take into account the word "some". :)
