Reading Rants! Out of the Ordinary Teen Booklists! » Graphic Fantastic:: This quiet, slice of life graphic memoir emphasizes the incredibly important role music plays in our lives, especially during our teen years. http://www.readingrants.org/category/graphic-fantastic/HOME | I mean they obsess over tv shows like Hannah Montana and bands like the Jonas Brothers and High School Musical. What is with the craziness as well over boys like Zac Efron, I like a lot of female celebrities, but you don;t see me building a fansite or blockinf up the Yahoo Answers section with stupid trivia questions about Nick Jonas. They seem like they don't want to grow up, while guys are pretty mellow. We keep the gossip to a minimal. We recognize which chicks in Hollywood are hot and which are not and we rarely express our opinions. The question I am trying ti ask is why teenage girls are crazy?
Girls can give guys crap about obsessing over sex all they want, but doing the things you describe are girl's ways of dealing with and obsessing over matters sexual as they enter into becoming sexual creatures.
uhm i dont think all girls do that. i dont even watch hannah montana and have never seen high school musical and the jonas brothers. yeah they are okay but they arent the greatest thing ever. and we arent crazy and maybe sometimes we over react or act crazy with our friends but you just have to realize sometimes we dont get to have fun.
Because thats what girls do. Obviously girls are different then boys and we like to gossip and obsess over hott celebs. Guys dont. And not ALL teenage girls are crazy so dont go around saying we are...
Okay, we are not crazy. Get that straight or you'll never get a girlfriend. We like those things because they are young, fun, and are what's in. It's also that if their friends like it, so do they. I like the Jonas brothers because they are cool and are like real people. I like Hannah Montana because her music is good. The same reason goes for High School Musical. The point is they are entertaining and are fun to watch.
It sounds to me like you are just an exceptionally mature teenager. All teens are crazy:) The teen boys in my family obsess over girls the way that you described the girls. True, my sister is a lot worse than my male cousins but girls are more emotional and outspoken. I think that girls and boys probably feel the same but express it differently.
well teenage girls have a thing for older men. and guys they can't have. they will saythings like " Mrs. Efron" jsut because they are gold diggers. lol. no but really a guy a girl can't have really makes them attractive.
beacuse they are young and dumb and they can DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
and i guess if you were bleeding out of your gentials for 7 days you would too.
thats the bloody big mystery of women, while we guys have now just proven men mature faster than girls. it's because they're women, what you expect? hehe
LOL.. IDK.... I was never like that.
It's a girl thing. :D
Most girls go through a stage where they have a major crush on a celeb.
I went through that stage, i liked Zac Efron, Jonas Brothers and Rupert Grint. xD
But now i've grown up from that, but i still have a little crush on Johnny Depp. :D
But who could resist his great acting skills and charm.
Ps.
Most girls just like celebs for their looks, they don't really care about their acting skills. gosh. :D
But i don't only like Johnny Depp for his looks but also his acting skills. (Superb Actor!) Very Young Girls (2007) - IMDb user comments:: This is especially effective, I thought, in a sequence when one girl cannot help . I would describe 'Very Young Girls' as honest, except for one strange http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1097268/usercommentsHOME |
Hope i could shine some light on this topic. :D
Not all girls are like that. I hate ALL of the things you wrote. I don't do the things you wrote up there. I think you're writing about 8-12 year old preppy little girls that think they're all that. ^ ^
They (we) try to find people who like the same people as us so we can talk about them, and find more things in common with each other. Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers? please. They're for...like... i don't know, 5 year olds
I am a teenage girl and I think all those things are extremely childish. I guess some girls aren't ready to grow up, but some of us are. I think it is funny because one minute you hear these people talking about Hannah Montana and high School Musical and the next minute you hear them talking about Tilla Tequila or whatever her name is. They are so inconsistent it is becoming annoying. They need to go to one extreme or another and stop trying to act two and twenty-two at the same time.
Girls rule....that's why!!!!
It's just female nature. We eventually grow out of it.
I know! Zac Efron - ew. and Justin Timberlake - how amusing. Lets face it. Being a teenager sucks. Its the hormones. Everything is hard because you don't really know who you are yet. I look back on my teenage years and think "Thank God that's over". All that angst. Its foul and depressing. Don't think that teenage guys don't look just as mental and try-hardish. But don't worry. It'll pass.
That my friend is a stereotype lmao thought its true often, but i guess that's what they are interested in? Like they could the same about boys always talking about games etc etc, its really not that complicated, yet, wait till u see what happens to them when they get pregnant 0.0
sexist we dont always i see tons of dudes obsessed with bands and shows!!!!
Thats not nice.
WELL, FROM MY POINT OF VIEW, I THINK TEENAGE GIRLS LIVE IN SOME SORT OF THEIR OWN WORLD...I KNOW THIS GIRL NAMED SONIA, SHE IS A COMPLETE WERIDO. SHES 15 YEARS OLD, AND ALL SHE DOES IS WATCH THOSE RIDICULOUS SHOWS AND POSTS A WHOLE BUNCH OF RIDCULOUS BLOGS ON HER FANSITE MYSPACE...COMPLETE LOSER, HUH?
YEAH, I THINK SHE NEEDS A LIFE....MAYBE SHE'LL GROW OUT OF IT...
LOL, IM 16, AND I THANKK GODD IM NOT LIKE THAT !!! LOL =]
I thought that stuff was for little girls not teenage ones. I'm a teenage girl and I only know one girl around my age who actually likes that stuff.
To answer ur question though: According to a book my parents gave me, It's hormones.
DO YOU WANT TO STAY AND DON'T ROW SO YOU WONT DIE
teenage boys obsess over girls, video games, doing stupid things, and sports. its just as bad.... teenagers in general are crazy. its just part of discovering yourself... that and raging hormones.
During the teenage years, girls are possessed by horrible demons. Coincidentally, these are the same demons that possess people in the entertainment industry. Thus, all those moronic tv shows and movies appeal to these possessed teenaged girls.
hormones
I know I don't get it. Teenage girls are always crazy. Well I'm 14 and I am not crazy. I am not boy crazy and I focus on school and education. I couldn't care less what people think of Miley Cyrus because I hate her. Although I kinda like the Jonas Brothers but that's just a girl thing.
you are looking at them with a gay attitude
you seem to find their bad points more
easier than finding their good points
Apparently you have never paid any attention to the "locker room gossip". Guys are just as crazy. You don't hear of girls slapping each others butts at ballgames either.
Trust me having been a teenager (girl), I never really tripped on celebrities. It seems that now they (celebrities) are so much in our faces through the media whereby they openly cat fight, call each other names and act completely like they have no brains, that some teenagers become obsessed with celebritydom thinking it's cool and want to be just like them. There aren't enough role models out there that talk about that it's cool to just be who you are and not phony or living in a fantasy world. While I think Hanna Montana is okay, she is still a star and a smart one, she's just figured out a way to do it differently like act soulful, believe me, they all have their tricks to maintain their cool and keep their money rolling' in. I wonder however, how really cool they are sometimes. I guess girls want to be just like them. They think it's cool to be like them. Sometimes teenagers lives are filled with so much turmoil that this talk is more of a cover up rather than of who the kid really is. It's sad that I see more and more girls who have more plastic than ever but can't write a simple paragraph. Or they know more about what happened to Lindsay Lohan than about the genocide in Darfur or hunger in our own country! Our society and the times in which we live I do believe have a tremendous affect on our girls. They feel that they have to be in competition to be recognized. It's sad.
...girls ALWAYS obsess over things.
It just changes over time.
HSM & Jonas Brothers, I think are more of a preteen thing.
Its a phase they go through, there just kids.
I was no different at that age and I have turned out just fine. I did grow out of it.
And someone told you they outgrow this?
