I got a minor fracture in my leg. And Iâ ™ve stayed in my below knee cast for 15 days. I had the cast removed 2 days ago. There is no severe pain but my foot looks bigger after removing the cast!!
Chances are the pressure the cast placed on your body--forced blood to stay in your foot vs. flowing up & down the leg like it would normally.

Probably swelling or applied pressure from the cast if your cast was a bit too snug. You might also be retaining fluids/sodium can cause your feet to swell; you can try and decrease your sodium intake by drinking less gatorade, sodas, etc. and drink more water.
