Ok, so I was best friends with this guy, and we would talk all the time...the whole time I really liked him but didn't tell him. Then, he just kinda stopped talking to me.
Well homecoming came up, and my friend told me he really wanted to ask me but wouldn't cause he thought I would say no. Well she convinced him I WOULD say yes,so he finally asked.
So now we're going to homecoming together, and we still don't talk! haha. Several people say it's because he's really shy (and I know he is shy) so I guess my question is how can I make him feel more comfortable talking to me? Or is there another reason he isn't talking?

He is definitely shy and it probably took him a lot of courage to ask you to homecoming. Take him somewhere quiet like for coffee or something and try and get him chatting again, like you used to, at first he will probably be happy to just listen but he will open up again eventually. I used to be pretty shy but my boyfriend helped me heaps. hope it goes well:)
That's sweet, maybe you just have to give him time. Try telling him about you and then asking him a question on the same subject.

talk to him make him open up beein a shy guy is really tough so help him out and talk to him try to take control and he'll open up eventually he'll get comfortable being around you but just be patient i feel bad for him. hes shy because he likes you, some guys are intimidated by the girls they like or because they think a girl is really pretty ect. just talk to him, bring up something random to talk about. thats all you can do
Just hangoout with him more. Pretty soon he'll get comfortable and open up to you.

Im a shy guy myself but never been in relationship.i think u should take him to somewhere away from others so he can make sure nobody can here what he says.
hmmm....I had a similar problem with i guy i knew once. i would just start random funny conversations with him, at first he was really shy....but after a while, he started talking to me alot. it seems like your friend was fine being friends with you but once he realized you had feelings for him he got a little shy. show him that you can still have conversations and that your relationship doesn't have to change. start establishing small comfortable conversations w/ him. I think that would be the best thing to do....

It's kinda like that whole to atmosphere if that makes sense? Joke around with him make him smile he will become comfortable.
Maybe he has deeper emotions for you than he had before and its making him nervous now.
while your at homecoming, ask him to slow dance, while your dancing say "you dont have to be so shy, i really like you...and go from there" talk about interests..ect.. you just have to break his shell, thats the way it is with every new crush.
Go up to him and start talking to him and ask questions so he has to talk back other wise it might be like talking to a wall if he talks he will become more and more comfortable with you and start adding to the conversation good luck!!!
