I have a seven week old baby who's been throwing up 2-3 times a day after feeding. He's been throwing up for weeks now. He's also been having hiccups after feeding. He throws up a lot, like spit ups.
I bottle feed him with breast milk mostly and feed him from the breast sometimes. When we feed him, he cries and pulls away (this happens when he's wide awake). When he's half asleep and hungry, he actually sucks on the bottle and my breast. My 10 years old son throws up everyday, before going to school. http://www.doctorndtv.com/faq/searchdetailfaq.asp?id=11509&word=earHOME |
He gets enough wet diapers a day, doesn't look sick and gets enough sleep.
What could be wrong?
I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
sounds like he has reflux. take him to the dr and get it under control and he will feel alot better.
As the first poster mentioned, it sounds like reflux. See your pediatricion. Until then, make sure your son takes in as little air as possible during feeding and make sure he's in a semi-upright position during feeding. Burp him well (over the shoulder making sure his stomach is at shoulder level). It's the shoulder pressure that actually helps encourage burping and try for a second burp. Also, avoid laying him down after feeding and don't overfeed.
Good luck.
You mean spits up. That is normal all babies spit up & get hiccups. If you are real concerned contact your pediatrician.
You should take him to the pediatrician, he could have reflux.
