folders, files etc... without bluetooth?
yup, any cord will work fine.
Norsemen is Indeed correct, but only to a degree. Yes, using just any double sided usb cord will fry your computer, but there are special usb cords with a special bridge that protects your computer and allows for data transfers. You can find one here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...
yes
No! And dont listen to the others!!!
They are trying to get you to FRY BOTH YOUR COMPUTERS!!!
DONT DO IT!!!
But you can go to any electronic store and buy a USB flash-drive, which plugs into both items and holds like 4 Giga-Bytes.
Load all yer junk from the old one onto it and plug it on your new computer.
Easy as pie, they cost like 20 bucks at Frys!
Yes. get yourself an ethernet cable and a router and set up a network between the 2. thats what i have running right now between my laptop, desktop and xbox
Not without a program or network.
Yes!!!!!
yes,
by networking
when u connet both by networking cable and go in network explorer
then click right button on local area connection
ant then give an ip address to ur both computers but both ip are diffrent
and shere the folder of that computer u want to send in other computer,
now click on run
in run "ping XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX." ten click ok
and then \XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
now u see other computer's folder present in ur second computer
probably, did you try using a usb cord.
do that and see what happens, if nothing else you can use a network cable and go computer to computer
you might have to set up a network, or at least scan for network changes....
yes you can do that provided your desktop has lan card. you can use the cross cable & can do the lan between your desktop & laptop
Yes you can. you need to make use of a cable called Belkin cable.
yeah, or just do a shared folder beacuse i assume you are on the same connection
wwhy not just use a usb big size one then copy it to your computer
There are a couple was of doing this.
If both machines are on a network it's as easy as getting them both on the network sharing the drive, and copy/paste.
If they aren't on a network you'll need to purchase a crossover, or roll over, cable and connect it to the two network ports. Now they are basically on a network between the two.
A third way would by an USB hard drive casing and pull your HD out of your PC and connect it via USB to your laptop, and copy/paste.
i think you could network the computers, but i think it just might be a bit simpler if you get a flash drive and you copy the files to the flash drive and then to the other computer. i'm not sure if you're too familiar with computer networking.
