Sometimes he stares seriously at me and when I see him
staring he keeps on until he finally decides to stop. And then sometimes he glances towards me and when I see him he
turns away.
Now if I didn't know any better I'd think he liked me. But
the thing is I LIKE HIM and he knows that for a fact,but
he said he didn't like me like that only as a friend. So
now the staring doesn't make it seem like he only likes

Maybe he has second thoughts about what he said. If you are sure you like him so much, maybe you could change his mind.
For most people if you don't like the person back you tend to look away
He might of just told you that cause he's shy or else he's just now realizing that he does like you.

just because a guy is staring at you, doesnt make him like you..
same thing's happening to me right now! it's SO ANNOYING! because they say and you hear that they don't like you back, but then they stare at you as long as they can when you pass them in the hall, and it just makes it SOOOOOO much f***ing harder to get over them!!!!!UGH!!!!!!!
Personally, i think that he doesn't like you back, but is wondering if he could. smile at him once in the hallway and see what he does. boys like to hide their emotions and are pretty damn good at it if they want to be!
if you still like him, keep staring at him, make sure you're always fresh in his mind. If you really can't give him up, but he still says he doesn't like you, your best bet is to always have him thinking about it. Seeing you every day. Never let him forget.
If you don't want him to like you and decide it's not worth it, always find something else to focus on, someone else to talk to in the hallway. Sooner or later, you won't even notice that you pass them anymore, and they won't notice you either.
