basically is the reverse of the usual set up possible?
normally you'd have a dash, say avalunch, from there if you wanted you could run xbmc.
i use my xbox as a media player 99.999% of the time, so xbmc is my dash, but once in a blue moon, say i want to do some nes roms.

well, my dashboard is xbmc too, and i've set it up to launch the original dash by clicking on dashboard. so by editing xboxmediacenter.xml, you will be able to change the link to your dash...
yeah that is what i thought, just didnt know whether proper dash had to be cold booted or not.

how did you get xbmc as your main dash, i want to do that because i tested it as an app but its better then my current dash but i can get to all my stuff from xbmc and i like it a lot more
dash is just an app thats run on boot, no magic involved.
