i recently had a friend of mine install the new build on my box for dvd menu support, but now my id3 tag information on some tracks consist of wierd characters. some tags are correct, while some are not. also the album art is gone completely. is there anyway i can refresh my id3 tags without having to ftp my entire collection from the pc again? i am planning on installing the xbox in my car as soon as this problem is solved .....please help!
i believe i do have apev2 tags attached to my files, but i don't know if there is a way to change the tag info without having to transfer from the pc back to the xbox's hard drive. also, i tried to ftp from the xbox to the pc and that didn't work. i don't even know if that will work at all. i have somewhat the same problem my tags work fine. its the album art that i cant seem to get to work and i always have to target the folder were my music is.
double check your tags. apev2 tags have the highest precedence for mp3 files. you may have them in your files and not even know they are there.
copy a few of the mistagged mp3's onto your pc and see if the tags are curropted.
have you deleted your mymusic db file and rescanned them?
